DynamicMom, is a social networking community designed to enable mothers to stay connected in a safe environment and discuss issues that matter most. DynamicMom allows members to connect with new moms, friends and relatives. Get support, navigate and converse with other moms through video chat rooms, private messaging, wall posting or emails. Participate in an existing forum or create your own, write or video chat about your experiences or questions you may have. Develop a personal profile, customize your page with pictures and videos and DM will automatically create a web address for you to share with family and friends. What led me to develop the website was the premature birth of my son. He was born at 28 weeks, weighed 2lbs. 5oz and was 14.5” long. There was nothing normal about the birthing process. When you have a baby, you don’t expect the doctors to whisk him away and your first visit is in the NICU, connected to machines, tubes and IV’s. This was extremely scary and stressful. During my visits to the NICU for seven weeks, I vowed to create an organization for women with preemies. I continuously visited online forums and websites for advice and support but they were very impersonal. I could post a question, send instant messages but I really needed to speak with a mother who had already experienced what I was going through and to let me know that things would get better. As I was watching Oprah and noticed how she integrated people into her show from their homes via video and decided to integrate the technology in a website for mothers. Dynamic mom brings human interaction to social networking and it’s free!!!! To become a DynamicMom takes less than 5 minutes to get you up and running.
